Arthritis & Chronic Joint Conditions

At True Potential, we support people living with arthritis and chronic joint conditions through structured, individualised exercise programs. Our approach focuses on improving strength, joint capacity, and movement confidence to support day-to-day function and long-term joint health.

Exercise is prescribed and progressed with careful consideration of symptoms, flare patterns, and tolerance to load. Rather than avoiding movement, we aim to help you move safely and consistently, building physical capacity without unnecessarily aggravating symptoms.

Research consistently supports exercise as a key strategy for managing arthritis symptoms. While exercise does not reverse the structural joint changes seen in osteoarthritis, it has been shown to improve pain, physical function, and confidence in movement. Importantly, the severity of osteoarthritis (OA) on imaging often correlates poorly with symptoms, meaning exercise prescription is best guided by how someone moves and functions rather than imaging findings alone.
